Terms of Service

By accessing or using Eelay, you confirm that you're at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Eelay on behalf of a household or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.

Eelay provides software tools to help homeowners track, schedule, and complete routine home maintenance. This includes a Home Score, personalized task plans, and progress tracking.

Important: Your Home Score and our recommendations are guidance based on general maintenance practices and the information you provide. They are not a substitute for a professional home inspection, contractor assessment, or specialist advice. Always consult a licensed professional for safety-critical systems, structural concerns, or work requiring permits.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password secure, and for activity that happens under your account. One account per person — don't share credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from Eelay
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Use Eelay to harass others, violate laws, or infringe on anyone's rights
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without permission

You own the information you put into Eelay — your home details, task history, notes, and any files you upload. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the service. We don't sell your data. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

Eelay is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The Home Score is a guidance metric, not a warranty of condition, value, safety, or insurability. We don't guarantee that following our recommendations will prevent damage, repairs, or loss.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eelay and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or property — even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

You can stop using Eelay and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or the platform. On termination, your right to use Eelay ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the United States, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
