Eelay is a home maintenance service operated by the Eelay team. This policy applies to our website, web application, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and optional display name through our authentication system.

Home profile data. To generate your maintenance plan, we ask about your home: ZIP code, home type, year built, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the major systems installed (HVAC, water heater, etc.).

Usage data. We store your task completion history, streaks, XP, Home Score, and related progress so we can give you an accurate picture of your home's condition over time.

Device information. Like most web applications, our servers automatically receive basic technical data such as browser type, device type, and IP address for security and reliability.

• Generate a personalized maintenance schedule for your home.
• Calculate and update your Home Score.
• Send reminders and in-app notifications about due tasks.
• Operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Respond to support requests.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

Your data is stored in our secure backend infrastructure. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to your home profile and task data is scoped to your account through row-level security — other users cannot read or modify your data.

No system is perfectly secure. We follow industry best practices and work to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We don't sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate Eelay, including our authentication and hosting provider and, where applicable, an email delivery provider for transactional messages. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Eelay, our users, or the public.

You can, at any time:

• Access and update your home profile from within the app.
• Request an export of your data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.

We use local storage and cookies only for essential functionality — keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences within the app. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Eelay is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through an in-app message before the change takes effect. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
